Downtown Los Angeles Public Art Walking Tour

This is page 3 of your self-guided public art walk in downtown Los Angeles continues down Hope Street near Third in the Bunker Hill neighborhood.
This sculpture  entitled "Ulysses" is the work of noted photographer Alexander Liberman.  He was one of several non-sculptors who were commissioned to create works outside their traditional field of art.

Another artist who worked primarily in land/earth sculptures was commissioned to create this one in the Citigroup Plaza.

Down a few steps to the right of this work is a "dance performance platform" by Robert Rauchenberg.

At the top of these stairs is a reflecting pool and at the center stands yet another female figure by Robert Graham.

Descend the stairs and cross the street to the Los Angeles Main Public Library.

Stairs and water are the themes of this part of the Bunker Hill walking tour.  This reflecting pool is one of several on the west side of the Public Library.  There are several other pieces of art in this garden area.  Be sure to note what is written on the stairs.

The Downtown Los Angeles public art walk starts here.
