The goal of the Pasadena Chalk
Festival this year was to have enough participants to break the
Guiness World Record. And they did it! Over 500 artists
created 179 images on the plaza at Paseo Colorado.

A Viking warrior
charging through the snow behind a team of polar bears--what a
great fantasy concept. Very nicely done. |

course, found their way into the Pasadena Chalk Art
Festival. This image is of a little girl on her father's
shoulders. She is surrounded by pro-immigrant statements. |

bloody ghoul image--sure to make zombie lovers
happy! |

Here is a novel
interpretation of sidewalk chalk art: The dragon which is
colored with chalk was set on a relatively simple sea sidewalk
painting. It will be interesting to see what this artwork
inspires next year. |
